Award winning design firm Beasley & Henley Interior Design completed The Baylee model for builder John Cannon Homes. Located in The Islands on the Manatee River in Sarasota, this 3,442 sqft, 3-bedroom 3-bath home showcases easy waterfront living with elegance and comfort.

Created by Beasley & Henley Senior Interior Designer, Kim Grimes, The Baylee’s interior style infuses both Mediterranean and Tuscan influences for a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern amenities.

“People who have traveled in Europe, or want to travel in Europe, will find this home a perfect blend of old world elegance and new world comfort,” says Principal Stephanie Henley.

Hardwood floors are featured throughout the Baylee model, with touches of brick accents and wood wall details for just a hint of rustic charm.

The furnishings are transitional in styling with light color tones and medium wood finishes throughout. Lighting is simple with a Tuscan flair, and the artwork is a combination of modern landscapes and eclectic photography.  The master bath is a focal point of the home with its free floating tub, brick walls and large shower.  The large exterior living areas on the lanai are inviting and comfortable with tones that compliment the interiors.

“We’re seeing resurgence in Mediterranean interiors that we haven’t had for many years,” says Henley. “It’s great to see. The interiors of this home bring a warmth and comfort that is well loved.”

The Baylee model is open for viewing at The Islands on the Manatee River.  Beasley & Henley’s next model for John Cannon Homes, the Mindera, will be open in the fall 2015.
