Corduroy for the Interior Design of your home
Corduroy isn’t just for pants and jackets anymore. Many designers are bringing corduroy into their focus for interior design this year. It’s a great alternative to velvet. Bold statements are being seen in upholstery with wide audacious bands of cord. It appears to be a growing trend that will be seen throughout the rest of 2014 and into 2015.
If you want the look of corduroy but don’t want the texture to make such a visual statement, stick to darker colors such as this deep saturated (another current trend) green hue.

Corduroy goes well with Mid Century Modern styles. I love the visual element corduroy brings to this chair and ottoman.

Don’t want to commit to a whole sofa of corduroy but want that textural element in your home? Go smaller with a pillow!

This corduroy rib chair has smaller bands than the pictures above. Another good option if you want the corduroy to be less prominent.

If you’re looking for a fabric soft to the touch like velvet but more durable with a bigger visual impact, corduroy is definitely a trend worth investing in!
