If you are anything like me, you are excited to see the new Pantone top Trend colors that are projected to be HOT for 2014. I also love to see the creative names that go with them!1. HEMLOCK Pantone 15-6114 Hemlock is a beautiful shade more commonly known as Mint Green.  In the pastel family, it goes great with other pastels and is versatile with bold colors as well.  I love mint green with gold accents and punches of coral.  It’s an unexpected mix of colors that will have people intrigued.2.CAYENNE Pantone 18-1651 Cayenne is a rich BOLD color that adds instant happiness to a room!  A little goes a long way.  Cayenne and would make a great feature wall to accent colors such as stark White, shades of Grey and Teal.3. PLACID BLUE Pantone 15-3920 Placid Blue is a blue pastel with a kick. It has a richer hue than light blue but still emits a sense of serenity in a room. Bedrooms and bathrooms are the most common areas of a home to use this color but don’t be afraid to bring it in to other areas such as the family/living room.4.   FREESIA Pantone 14-0852 Freesia is definitely the brightest color of 2014!  Lighter shades of Yellow are a great color for kitchens, bathrooms and common areas, but a shade such as bright as Freesia would be best used as an accent color and will still have a great impact.  Accessories, a chair, throw pillows and drapery are great for adding this color into a room.5.     PALOMA Pantone 16-0000 This soft neutral Grey will go with just about everything and can stand on its own just as well.  In my home, I have grey walls with pops of color in my furniture and accessories.  If I get tired of a color, I can easily swap out an accessory, piece of artwork, etc.  It’s a sophisticated color that is plays well with others.
