Top Design Trend 2013: Natural Wood Flooring

Wood flooring has seen a resurgence in its popularity for the last few years, but the latest spin on this old favorite  is the flooring trend toward LIGHT or NATURAL wood flooring.

Light colors or natural surfaces look gorgeous in our minimalist environments.  They add warmth to a modern interior and they a compliment the look of traditional or county-styled homes.

 One of my absolute FAV’s for wood flooring is the new CURVED WOOD flooring. It has been around in Europe and through Alibaba.com for a few years, and it is reported coming to North America (via California) soon!  It is gorgeous hardwood flooring with naturally curved lengths that follow a tree’s natural growth.  Two of the most well known European manufactures are Bolefloor and Waldilla.
